The Henry Samueli School of Engineering at UC Irvine is one of the top-ranked engineering programs in the country. Whether you are graduating with a degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or any other engineering discipline, your graduation photos should reflect the hard work and achievement that got you here.

Engineering graduates at UCI typically wear the standard black cap and gown with the school's gold sash or stole. Some departments also have unique cords or pins. I recommend bringing any honors regalia, cultural sashes, and customized caps you plan to wear. The more personal items you include, the more meaningful your portraits become.

For engineering graduates, I recommend starting your session at the Engineering Gateway and nearby buildings where you spent your college years. These locations connect your photos to your actual academic experience. From there, we move to Aldrich Park, the Peter statue, and other iconic UCI spots that round out your gallery with variety.

UCI Engineering commencement is held at the Bren Events Center, and I also offer sessions there for graduates who want photos at the building where they walked the stage. The combination of your school's buildings and the ceremony venue tells a complete visual story of your engineering journey at UCI.
